Welcome to week 5 of the #8fitChallenge! How awesome are you feeling?! This week, we’re going to build on what you learned this past month about feeding your body with wholesome, natural foods. We’ll do this by reading your food labels.

If you can’t pronounce it, don’t buy it
An easy rule of thumb when it comes to reading food labels: the fewer ingredients the better. Also, don’t let clever advertising gimmicks on the front of the box fool you. Turn it around and if you can’t pronounce an ingredient, it’s probably not natural.
Your challenge this week is to look for foods in your pantry or on grocery store shelves that you believe are natural and healthy. Read the ingredient list and see if your assumptions are correct.
Post a photo or a video of any surprisingly unhealthy, “health foods.” Some examples are yogurts, protein bars or foods labeled low-fat, gluten-free or sugar-free. Use the hashtag #8fitChallenge and #8fit. We’ll select 1 random winner for the weekly 8fit prize pack from photos shared starting at 12:01 am PST May 7, 2018, and ending at 11:59 pm PST May 13, 2018.
