Losing Weight After Baby: Paula’s 8fit Story

After having a baby, Paula noticed that she was still carrying some of the baby weight. Eight months postpartum, she decided to commit to losing the baby weight and take control her health with 8fit’s workouts and meal plans.

How did you discover 8fit? Why did you download the app?

Eight months after giving birth, I noticed that I still had 20 kg to lose so I decided to do something about it. I was looking for an app that combined nutrition and fitness training. When I found 8fit doing an internet search, I liked the options it offered.

What do you like most about the 8fit app?

I love the recipes. They are super easy to cook and most I’ve tried are delicious. I also find the workouts very fun and love that they are a total body workout. The fact that each exercise includes tutorial videos is a big plus.

How was your first postpartum workout with 8fit?

At first I couldn’t do much. I started with the lowest level but I improved fast because I could see and feel progress every day.

You’ve used 8fit to lose almost 20 kg since giving birth — amazing! What made you stick with the program?

Seeing results week after week was motivating. In fact, it’s been over a year and I’m still seeing changes every week. It’s amazing how well 8fit worked for me. In addition to seeing visible results, feeling full after healthy meals make it easier too.

You’ve logged over 500 8fit meals – which is your favorite?

I have many favorite recipes, but maybe one of the tastiest is Pasta with Lentil Ragout and Mint Yogurt. The Beef and Beet Burgers comes in a close second.

Do you share your 8fit meals with friends and relatives? What do they think about them?

Yes, my partner eats the same 8fit meals as me but with bigger portions and he loves them. With both of us following my 8fit nutrition plan cooking and shopping are easier. When we do the shopping, we only buy what we need for the 8fit recipes and have stopped buying unnecessary stuff. We aren’t throwing away unused food or wasting money.

Which is your favorite motivational phrase or quote?

I like this funny one, “Sweat is the fat crying.” Also, I like to remind myself that it’s OK to “enjoy a cheat meal every now and then.” This last one has been essential. Skipping the meal plan during the weekend feels great and actually motivates me to get back to it come Monday.

What would you say to a woman who just had a child and feels discouraged about her body?
