Join the 8fit team of coaches for a special 2-hour digital event that includes movement, meditation, educational content, and recipe demos. We are calling this event Wellbeing the 8fit Way and during the entire two hours, we’ll be raising money for Feeding America – the United State’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization.

Wellbeing the 8fit Way takes place on Sunday, November 8, at 10am ET / 4pm CET. To join, follow 8fit on Instagram and tune in 5 minutes before the event starts in order to wind down and prepare. Below find the full itinerary, what you’ll need to participate, how to prepare you and your space, and what you’ll get out of it.

This event is free but we encourage you to donate to Feeding America if you are able. You can do so right on Instagram during the event or at this link ahead of the event.

More about Feeding America

In a country that wastes billions of pounds of food each year, it's surprising that anyone in America goes hungry. Yet every day, there are millions of children and adults who do not get the meals they need to grow and thrive.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, unemployment has soared and food insecurity is on the rise. In 2020 more than 54 million people may face hunger because of coronavirus. We’ve selected Feeding America as our event’s charity to help fulfill their mission of getting nourishing food – from farmers, manufacturers, and retailers – to people in need.

Event Schedule

  • 10:00am - 30-minute cardio workout

  • 10:30am - Cooking session

  • 11:00am - Learn meditation

  • 11:30am - 30-minute vinyasa yoga

The entire event will be moderated by our head coach Emily.

How to prepare

This event will be 2 hours long. We suggest eating 1-2 hours before the event so that you feel energized until the end. After the cooking portion of the event, we recommend setting the meals aside for later – that is, if you’re cooking them. Of course, you can enjoy a bite during the event, but it’s best to meditate and practice yoga on a mostly empty stomach.

Other tips for preparing:

  • Hydrate

  • Prepare your space

  • Communicate with people you share your space with

  • Put phone on do-not-disturb mode

What you’ll need

Find a space with a good internet connection and where you can enjoy the event uninterrupted. We also recommend prepping some of your recipe ingredients ahead of time if you’ll be cooking one or both of the meals with us. If you’d rather sit back and watch the cooking session like it’s Master Chef -- that’s OK too.
