What’s Your Fitness Philosophy?

My vision is empowering others to see their true potential and live healthier, happier lives. I believe in teaching a sustainable, healthy lifestyle. It’s about progress not perfection. If you love and enjoy what you’re doing, you’re more likely to make it a habit. Health and fitness are not temporary but interconnected with every aspect of one’s life. I want people to feel empowered to break through their own mental and physical limitations and feel confident. That in turn will create a ripple effect and inspire others around them.

My clients can expect a fun and challenging workout. They will get addicted to the positive endorphins!

Tell us your Story

Growing up, I was never into fitness. I was always the child who was picked last for sports teams during Physical Education class, and I dreaded fitness. After college, I settled into a desk job and real estate career. I began to gain weight due to my sedentary lifestyle and poor eating habits. I loved sugar and desserts so much that I would skip entrees in order to have two desserts instead!

Reality kicked in when I found out that my body fat percentage was borderline obese. It wasn’t until I accidentally entered a fitness competition that I was fully committed to a health and fitness overhaul. Once I made the decision and put in the hard work, I began to see results. I changed my diet and increased my exercise. The weight began to come off, and I began to love the way I looked and felt. I was getting healthy, fit and strong. Soon, I wanted to share that feeling with others. I became a trainer because I want people to break through their own mental and physical limitations.

How do you stay motivated?

I have to know why I am doing what I’m doing. When you don’t feel like working out or choosing healthy options, your “why” has to be so strong that you are 100 percent committed. Otherwise, you’ll find an excuse and talk yourself out of the workout or just have a little bite. In addition, I have motivational quotes and photos that inspire me.

3 words to describe yourself

  • Energetic
  • Fun
  • Motivator

What are your favorite activities?

I take hip hop class, enjoy challenges like the 10,000 kettlebell swing challenge, wakeboarding, and snowboarding. I’m adventurous, so I’ll try anything.

What is your favorite workout gear?

You may think I’m biased, but I love lululemon. I’m originally from Vancouver, where the company originated, so I’ve been the biggest fan even before I became an ambassador. They have amazing designs, functionality, and their products are very high quality. I can’t get enough of them.

What is your favorite exercise?

It’s a tie between wide-stance barbell sumo squats and Romanian deadlifts.

What is your favorite workout style?

High intensity interval training, I like to be GFB and DIS. “Gasping for Breath and Drenched In Sweat.”

What is your favorite quote?

Sing like nobody’s listening
Love like you’ve never been hurt
Dance like nobody’s watching
Live like it’s heaven on earth
