Since first downloading the 8fit app back in May 2017, Shaunicere has lost just over 30 pounds. Yes, that’s 30 pounds in about 7 months. What we love most about Shaunicere’s transformation is that she is losing weight in a healthy, sustainable way – the 8fit way.
Instead of looking for a quick fix, Shaunicere focused her attention on developing healthy habits. New habits like moving more and eating nutritious meals helped her transform from the inside out. “I think the biggest change I’ve seen is in my confidence level. I feel so much better about myself,” explains the 8fitter.

Shaunicere’s amazing, motivating fitness transformation story
What inspired you to download the 8fit app?
I saw an ad for 8fit on Facebook and I liked that it was a meal planning app. I’d never seen one before, so I decided to give it a try and I loved it!
What do you love most about the 8fit app?
I love the meals on the 8fit app. They are all very simple and easy to prepare. I need simplicity to accommodate my busy schedule. I also like the shopping list because it makes preparation easier and helps me understand exactly how much to buy for that week’s meal plan.
You’ve lost over 30 pounds since downloading the 8fit app. In what other ways have you seen results?
My body has changed. My face is slimmer, my legs and arms are more toned, and my problem areas (back, stomach, and waist) have noticeable fat loss.
Wellness isn’t all about weight loss or physical transformation. How has your wellness journey improved your life outside of fitness and nutrition?
I can say that I am more conscious of what I eat. I make better choices. I have learned how to portion control and listen to my body when I’m full.
You’ve cooked a lot of 8fit meals over the past few months, what’s your favorite?
My favorite 8fit meal is the Mango and Basil Tortilla Pizza. This is my go-to meal when I want something quick and easy. It only takes 20 minutes and it’s very filling.
Outside of 8fit workouts, what are your favorite ways to move?
I enjoying playing Just Dance on my Wii and hiking.
What is your favorite workout jam right now?
“Stronger” by Kanye West. This is my go-to song when I begin my runs. It gets me pumped up and helps me find my stride.
Favorite motivational quote or phrase?
My favorite motivational phrase is one I heard from Autumn Calabrese, a celebrity trainer.
“It doesn’t get easier, you get better.”
We all start somewhere and the beginning is always the hardest. When we push ourselves we get stronger.
What is your advice for someone who is just getting started on their fitness journey?
We all have to start somewhere. Don’t focus on others. Focus on yourself and you will get where you want to be. Strive to be the best version of you.
