Alba studied Translation and Interpreting in Spain and holds a Masters in Teaching Foreign Languages. Alba’s life took a different turn than she expected when she was introduced to CrossFit and the Paleo diet in 2012. Through CrossFit she discovered a love of functional fitness and feeling stronger today than you felt yesterday.

Wanting to share that feeling and sense of accomplishment with others, she started a healthy lifestyle blog, created an inspirational Instagram account, and became a certified CrossFit Level I Trainer. Alba is one of the founding trainers and she’s been guiding and encouraging others to reach their fitness goals since the beginning of 8fit.

What’s Your Fitness Philosophy?

Fitness means being active, eating healthy, and treating your body with the respect it deserves so you’re able to do the things you love to do. Fitness should always be functional, fun, challenging and a part of your lifestyle.

Tell us your Story

I’ve always been an active person. Even though I suffer from asthma, I still played tennis and swam regularly when I was younger. The fitness bug really hit me when I moved to Berlin and was introduced to CrossFit. I would spend my afternoons in the box (that’s the name of the gym in CrossFit) and without realizing it, I entered a world of barbells, kettlebells, squats and box jumps. I became faster, stronger, and fitter.
Fitness has changed my life so positively and in so many ways that it would be very selfish not to share it with others.

I began training my friends and family. I started a blog with my sister to share our fitness routines and healthy recipes with more people and I realized how happy it made me to be able to inspire others.
Now at 8fit, I’m taking this to another level. No matter what your situation, you can overcome anything to create your own healthy lifestyle and I’m here to guide you!

What is your favorite exercise?

Squats! The deeper, the better.

What is your favorite guilty pleasure?

Peanut Butter Cups. I love them! However, they’re so bad for you that I prefer to satisfy myself with natural peanut butter and strawberries.

What is your favorite workout song?

“Psycho” by Muse. Best workout song ever!

What is your favorite food?

Arroz al horno (Valencian rice dish), Spanish garlic prawns, lamb’s brain, slow-cooked ribs with sweet potato fries, panang curry… I can’t choose a favorite food, I love them all!
