At 8fit, we love seeing our members transform. Read why we started the transformation challenge.

We get it. Achieving lifelong health isn’t easy and there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach. At 8fit, we’ve set out to create the most engaging and approachable way for people to build healthy habits they can stick to.

Customizing the health journey

When you download the app, we ask some personal questions. First, we require basic biometric data like height, weight and age. Then, we dive deeper and ask questions about your gender, current activity level, eating habits and personal goals.

Behind the scenes, nutritionists and coaches work hard to make 8fit members feel supported by constantly creating new recipes, meal plans and workouts, while also providing one-on-one support to those who need it. Every recipe and workout is customized to align with the member’s main goal.

Transforming body, mind and way of life

Transformation stories – big or small – keep us going. We love hearing how the 8fit app is changing lives and waistlines. To showcase these amazing results and connect with 8fitters on a deeper level, we created the 8fit Transformation Challenge.

Over the course of 12 weeks, challengers had full access to the 8fit app, one-on-one fitness coaching, one-on-one nutrition coaching and live group training near our headquarters in Berlin two times per week. During the 12-week program, participants were tasked with logging 3-4 meals per week and 3-4 workouts in the app per week in exchange for points. Another way to accumulate points was by completing weekly homework assignments focused on healthy habits themes like, “understanding cravings,” “dealing with stress” and “meal prep.” In addition to that homework, each participant teamed up with a new accountability partner each week in order to answer the weekly question about each other.

We wanted all of our challenge participants to reach their goals. To do this, we set goals for ourselves:

  • To build a community amongst the group as they work to hold one another accountable and bond over different milestones and challenges.
  • To stimulate positive emotions based weekly themes, homework assignments and goal attainability.

Each 8fit transformation challenger was encouraged to work towards their personal goal whether that is weight loss, increasing activity levels or eating better.

In the end, we hoped that each challenger felt better in their body and felt confident that they could maintain the healthy habits they learned during the 12-week challenge.
