What’s Your Fitness Philosophy?

Listen to your body and mind

Tell us your Story

Growing up in a household where food was love, I was overweight as a child and adolescent. Using unhealthy coping mechanisms, such as emotional eating, I was depressed and unsure what to do. I would obsess about food, restrict it, eat too much of it, and feel bad about myself all along the way. It was a vicious cycle. I learned through trial and error that your body will tell you what it needs, as long as you take the time to listen. I decided to pursue a career in health and nutrition in order to learn the proper way to fuel body and mind.

My mission statement is, “inspire others towards health and happiness”. I believe in empowering people to start listening to their bodies and to help them gravitate towards what makes them feel their personal best. I am dedicated to helping everyone make peace with food and the eating experience, through supporting them in exploring the underlying physiological and psychological reasons for emotional and mindless eating.
